Project: Yosemite Streetview Multimedia Campaign

Google wanted to bring Street View to Yosemite. We leveraged our longstanding relationship with the National Park to open the door, and proposed an audacious new concept - the world’s first vertical Street View, allowing users to explore the 3,000-foot cliff face of El Capitan. We worked with Google engineers to conceive, design, and test the new technology, and enlisted climbing superstars Alex Honnold, Lynn Hill, and Tommy Caldwell to scale the wall with our shoot team, using specially designed 360 camera rigs to capture extraordinary panoramic images. 

We worked with Ubilabs to develop a standalone interactive website to host the story, and produced, directed, shot, and edited a 5-minute launch film that’s drawn 11 million views on YouTube. Editorial coverage of the campaign ran on CBS, NBC, New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian and many more, and it was nominated for two Webby Awards.

Facebook wanted to showcase how climber Tommy Caldwell used their platform to stay connected with fans, friends, and family while living on the 3,000 foot vertical face of El Capitan in Yosemite. We licensed them existing footage from our coverage of Caldwell’s attempts on The Dawn Wall, and shot extensive new material for a short film they launched that gathered millions of views.

Project: The Alpinist & The Dawn Wall

We partnered with Red Bull Media House on our two biggest projects to date - the feature documentaries The Alpinist (coming soon) and The Dawn Wall (2018). Working closely with RBMH  teams in both LA and Austria, we produced and executed big-budget, high-risk shoots in extreme mountain locations around the world, crafted and delivered feature length films and supporting short-form promo materials, and collaborated on release and PR strategies to make the films into global hits.

Project: Mont Blanc Multimedia Campaign

Google wanted a campaign to celebrate Mont Blanc, the tallest and most iconic peak in the Alps, so we conceived, developed, and produced a grand tribute to the mountain. We assembled a cast of legendary European athletes, including Swiss Alpinist Ueli Steck, Spanish ultra-runner Kilian Jornet, French freeskier Candide Thovex, and more. Our elite team of technical mountain shooters created stunning 360 panoramic images of the athletes in action, along with Street View imagery of climbing the entire “Regular Route” to the summit. 

Working with Ubilabs, we designed and built a standalone interactive website to surface the story. And we produced, directed, shot, edited, and delivered a beautiful launch video that has three million views on YouTube.

Project: Relist Wolves

Sender Films teamed up with Jason Momoa to create a viral video for the #RelistWolves campaign, which calls on the Biden Administration to put gray wolves back on the Endangered Species list.
In just the first 24 hours after launch, the video was shared to well over 35 million followers on social media and generated thousands of emails and letters to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. To raise your voice, visit: relistwolves.org.

Client: IndivisibleProject: Cardboard Cory Film Campaign We created a film and digital ad campaign for progressive advocacy group Indivisible, supporting the grassroots movement to defeat U.S. Senator Cory Gardner, a Republican from Colorado. A 15 minute documentary was viewed hundreds of thousands of times, and a series of shorts highlighting Gardner’s abysmal record were supported with a state-wide digital advertising and social media influencer campaign. Spanish clothing brand Mango approached us for fun ideas on how to highlight the rugged features of their Travel Suit on an adventure athlete. As creative agency and production company, we conceived, pitched, and produced a campaign starring climbing legend Chris Sharma. He rides a jet ski across the Mediterranean and scales a Mallorcan sea cliff ropeless, all looking snazzy in his Travel Suit, a la James Bond. The advertisements ran widely on European television, in retail stores and online, and the stills were featured on billboards, storefronts and print ads.

In honor of Veterans Day, we partnered with Team River Runner and Sandy Russell Creative to document for Google the incredible journey of five blind veterans kayaking 226 miles of whitewater through the Grand Canyon. We produced, directed, shot and edited a powerful short film, supported by high-end panoramic still imagery and a series of promo clips and social assets.
